HARU Study Abroad helps African students and families make those decisions with clearer, more personalised guidance for studying in South Korea.
We focus on Korea because we believe specialised guidance is more valuable than trying to cover every study destination.
Built from firsthand experience in Korea
HARU was founded by a Korea University Global MBA graduate with firsthand experience studying, living and working in South Korea.
That experience provides an understanding of Korea that goes beyond university rankings and admission pages. It includes what it means to actually build a life here, navigate a different culture and experience the Korean education environment firsthand.
But firsthand experience alone isn't enough.
University requirements, scholarships and application procedures change. That's why our guidance also relies on careful, current research into the universities, programmes and official requirements relevant to each student's plans.
We combine both: experience on the ground and research specific to your application.
Why HARU exists
For many African students interested in Korea, finding information isn't necessarily the problem.
There is a lot of information online.
The difficult part is figuring out which information applies to you.
Which universities make sense for your academic profile?
Is a particular scholarship realistic for you?
Do you need IELTS or TOPIK for the programme you're considering?
When should you start preparing?
What documents will you need?
Should you focus only on Seoul?
And what happens after you receive admission?
HARU exists to help students move from scattered information and uncertainty to a practical plan based on their individual circumstances.
We don't believe in one-size-fits-all applications
Two students who both want to study in Korea may need completely different strategies.
One may have excellent grades but require substantial scholarship funding. Another may have family funding but need help identifying suitable universities. Another may already know exactly where they want to apply and simply need support preparing strong, complete applications.
That's why our services are designed around where you are in the process, rather than forcing every student through the same package.

We would rather help you build a stronger application strategy than tell you what you want to hear.

Support, not shortcuts
We guide you through the process, review your work and help you strengthen your applications, but the application remains yours.
We don't fabricate information, impersonate applicants or recommend dishonest application practices.
For students and their families
We know that for many African students, studying abroad isn't an individual decision.
Parents and guardians may be making a significant financial commitment and naturally want to understand the university, costs, scholarship possibilities, safety, accommodation and what their child should expect in Korea.
HARU welcomes that involvement.
Where appropriate, parents can participate in consultations, and our Complete Korea Support service includes a dedicated family briefing before the student leaves for Korea.
What HARU cannot promise
We can help you make better-informed decisions and prepare carefully.
What we cannot do is guarantee an outcome.
Admissions decisions are made by universities. Scholarship decisions are made by the relevant universities or scholarship organisations, and visas are issued by the appropriate Korean authorities.
We will never sell an admission, scholarship or visa “guarantee.”
What we can promise is thoughtful guidance, careful preparation and transparency about the process.
